Tupelo Honey Cafe

Tupelo Honey Cafe

We discovered Tupelo Honey Cafe a few months back on our way back home from a doctor appointment in Nashville.

Although we discovered the cafe located at 2000 Meridian Blvd Ste 110 in Franklin, TN, there are 14 other locations across the southern states.

For breakfast that morning, we began with their mega-mimosa made with fresh orange juice and warm biscuits. Yum. And they bring a jar of honey to the table if you ask.

For the main course, we feasted on the blueberry Challah French toast with heritage pork belly. Yes, pork belly, not bacon. I’ve seen pork belly on cooking shows, but I had never tasted it. I truly think it is an acquired Southern taste, but to a Northern transplanted chick, it was tasty.

Tastefully decorated with honeycomb on the ceiling and a wall of whiskey barrels, it also displays the art work of local artists.

It is by all means on our “we need to return to this place” list.
