The Forces of Nature: The Changing Seasons

This week’s The Daily Post: Photo Challenge asks for photographers to focus on a force of nature. Living in Northern Illinois, I think the most impressive force of nature encompasses the changes of seasons.

Summer

In the summer, we experience humid days with the highest temperature usually in the 90s, but the most extreme I can remember was 105.

Winter

Then, in the winter, we experience snow and temperatures that can drop below zero. With the winter winds, it can feel like -50 degrees here.

Spring and Fall

But between those two extremes are the pleasant, colorful seasons of spring and fall.

Continual, but ever-changing seasons – one of natures most powerful forces. We can’t change them, or deter them. They happen.
